Play with Perfume

I'm always looking for scents to keep on the go: solids for the diaper bag, samples for my evening bags etc. You never know when you'll need a good freshening up, and a scent is one of the simplest ways to get that refreshed feeling. Re-apply some lipstick, add a spritz of fragrance - and you're good to go! I love this perfume-bubbles concept from Francis Kurdjian! Lightly perfumed, and simplistically packaged, these bubbles release a subtle fragrance when blown; offering some desperate entertainment during a toddler-meltdown-moment, while providing the drained mama with some fresh scented solace. And better  yet - these bubbles won't stain even your delicate fabrics!

In Cut Herbs, Cold Mint, and (my favorite) Pear. Available here.

I'm hooked!

I've come across this concept many times before, but never actually thought about buying one... Until I found The Mommy Hook. What an ingenious gizmo to have on hand! I can think of countless ways I'd put this puppy to use - mom or not - this thing is super functional (coming from the woman who is still hanging her bag off the break latch on her chameleon!). And I figure, for $8 why not give it a try?

Brushing up on Tech...

A week before Pesach, and still not through the full home cleaning spree. Finding more and more things that I never thought of as "dirty", and looking for ways to make this process more efficient; I came across the keyboard/computer issue. Not that it's downright filthy, but have you ever popped off your keyboard (to install more RAM, maybe?), and seen the complete dust and smut disaster underneath?? It's truly inredible! Which made me realize how obviously dirt ridden the home computer actually is. Face it, next to doorknobs, it has the most hand-traffic of anything else! I had been wiping it down every so often, but the dust was just out of control!! So I brushed up on some keyboard cleaner products, and my search finally landed me happily on this one from the New York Botanical Gardens Shop: an oiled beechwood handle featuring natural bristles for easily cleaning between the keys, and the softest goat hair with antistatic perfect for dusting the monitor (read: tv screen, piano, cell phones etc).

Hipster Spring Shades

I'm totally stoked for Pesach vacation in Chicago, but I can't help my mind from wandering to the weeks and months that follow our return to this golden state - all those Sunday beach trips that are rapidly approaching! I've got sun and surf on the mind.....  check out this fabulous line of eyewear from Karen Walker. Beach bumming simply can't get much more hip than this! See the rest of the collection here.
