October Fest!

Here are a few of the things I'm looking forward to before the month is over, a few of our Autumn favorites:

• extended-family couples trip to Knott's Scary Farm (the guys can't handle it without us!)
• Sunday trip with Freida to a pumpkin patch (for hay-rides, straw maze, and petting zoo)
• date-night at the Queen Mary's Dark Harbor
• collecting leaves and teaching Freida how to do crayon "rubbings"
• double-date to Phantom of the Opera @ Pantages Theatre (can't wait, Rivky!)
• pumpkin pie (from fresh pumpkin!) with homemade whip cream
• frequenting flea markets for antique lighting
• a cozy night home with an old film and hot rhubarb-cranberry cobbler + vanilla ice cream
• spending our wedding anniversary in some of our favorite spots!

Foldable Flats

I'm finally caving and thinking of buying my first pair of Tieks... I can't bypass - these shoes were made for me!

I'm sure lots of you are sky-high-heel lovers who prance around comfortably in your stiletto-soles day long (lucky you!!), but I'm not one of those gals! For me, these evoke memories of all that back-to-school newness, and scents of freshly pressed loose-leafs.... ahh. Tape Happy!

Freida has been overly obsessive about "tape" as of late. She absolutely loves the texture and the concept of the sticky stuff. I cut a bunch of strips of light-weight masking tape and hang them by an edge off a chair - she could play for a loooong time. She goes back and froth from the chair to the wall adding strips of tape to her design. She even learned how to hang up her own art this weekend.

While browsing around for some colorful tape options (which would be more fun, more educational, and definitely nicer to look at all over my dining room walls!), I happened upon some wonderfully charming and novel ideas in the tape industry. Thought I'd share the sticky-joy!

Khaki Craving

What a fabulous way to fall into this season: khaki nail color. I'm totally digging these new autumn shades from Chanel; they're in sync with the whole military-inspired theme on the fashion front, and they are screaming "fall".
