Digging this storage bin from Skip Hop! Super cute, totally functional in general - but I think this is the perfect solution to the two-story home "stuff" issue. Place this box on the bottom step, nix the daily frustration, and stop making innumerable trips up that flight of stairs! At the end of the day this bin will be filled with random wandering "upstairs" objects (your 2nd grader's library book, toddler's stuffed animals, someone's PSP, your bedroom TV remote (??), the freshly laundered bathroom hand towels, etc.) - now homeward bound all together in one simple little carry-bin, and one simple trip upstairs... : )

Loving these skittle colored table lamps. My four favorite qualities: bright, beautiful, colorful, simple. I especially love all three of them together - for the living room, hallway, entryway etc. Brighten up a drably space with three ceramic cubes of color for only $150! (designer style robbery!) : )
Mod Table Lamps from Crate and Barrel: $49.95
One of my favorite moms-to-watch is Kiersten Hathcock of ModMom Furniture. A woodworking mom who creates and builds all her modern, mid-century kids furniture right out of her home garage! Kinda tough to beat gorgeous handmade furniture built by a mom with a power saw! I'm especially fond of these toy boxes... makes keeping toys in the living-room blissful : )

Today ModMom is having a raffle for Haiti relief. The object is this beautiful keepsake box, raffle ticket is $10. Click here for details.

You'll fall for these laser-cut bamboo wall clocks. Modern animal cutouts to grace the walls of a kids room/playroom(/heck, I'd put this owl in my living room!), formated to function without the obtrusive ticking!
