I'm so digging this foldable playspace for kids - the My Space. Pop it up and pack it up - it's playtime sans the spacial anxiety. Created by Liya Mairson, a designer who recently graduated from the Shenkar Institute for Engineering and Design. These phtotos of her cardboard playspace have been all over the web this week, so I hit her site and checked out the rest of her portfolio - she is one talented young lady ! (Have a look at her espresso+milk set. Awesome.)
I feel like the only one who is totally psyched to see "Eat, Pray, Love" in this town!! Please pick up a copy of this woman's incredible journey, consume the written pages, (inevitably, contrast to our way of life and faith), and learn a thing or two from someones else's memoir of self-discovery... Then round up your girlfriends and hit the film! : )

For those of you who remember when I posted this über sleek stroller, and actually followed the link to its' producers - I'm sure you can't forget some of the fabulously functional gear featured there. Well, Great Britians #1 baby brand has landed, but unfortunately they only brought with them a selection of items... Available at their US website, currently for pre-order at Babies R' Us, and coming to other select stores shortly. Too bad the Mylo and the Morph didn't make it over...

I wanted to share this article with you. It was written by Jennifer Senior for the New York Times, and though I found it rather depressing, it definitely has some aspects of truth in the parenthood. Take a look through the eyes of the many women who feel they love their kids but hate their lives. I feel truly blessed that Judaism gives us an undeniable sense of purpose when it comes to procreation. This purpose should lend itself to pride, and provide some peace-of-mind when it comes to the many trials and troubles that can manage, no doubt, to taint the years of child-rearing - should we live those years without thinking and remembering our purpose.
A good read, that will feel both familiar and educational.

It seems Pampers has teamed up with Cynthia Rowley in a collaboration-concept that has never been seen before: designer does disposable. Pampers by Cynthia Rowley will be available in 11 colorful styles (for boys and girls) beginning mid July at Target stores and on Target.com. The diaper collection will be available in pastel designs including madras, stripes and printed ruffles. Rowley was quoted as having said "As a mom, I wanted other moms and dads to have more options in every part of their lives -- even diapers. It's the first piece of clothing your baby will ever wear, and it should be special."
Well, I'm down with that. Come to think of it - as much as I do love the furry little guy - it is high time that Elmo stops being the first thing to greet me in the morning - at the changing table... Diaper-duty just got a whole lot more fun.
