I've recently grown fond of the Vivienne Westwood + Melissa shoes. Had my first sighting while browsing for some kicks on Zappos, and they've been on my wish-list ever since (haven't yet justified buying plastic heels... but I've been living in a pair of plastic gladior sandals that I got at (cough, cough) Forever 21 for $5 - and I'm loving them!).
And as if those creations weren't cute enough, Melissa and Viv had to go and procure chic-baby-status with the launch of baby shoe line. The "Mini Melissa", a shrinky-dink from two of Westwood’s popular Anglomania designs: the Lady Dragon Bow and Lady Dragon Heart, are sure to emit squeals of delight from Mommy-and-Me lovers (hello, Katie Cruise). Made from Melissa Plastic Dream's famous PVC breathable plastic; you gotta admit these little toe-tappers came a long way from Crocs. : )

Now, to burst your bubble: they are a ridiculous $100 ($45 less than the adult version?) a pop - but they are so spankin' adorable I wanted to share the cuteness...
Everyone seems to be going gaga over this crib mattress - the Pebble by Sleep Nook. Yes, the colors are hotness, and the design is superfluously eye-pleasing. But just read the write-up and weep...
(It sounds like we are raising aliens: "The removable surface layer of the Nook Pebble mattress employs a patented asymmetrical design and nano-level technology to maximize breathability. Air flows in valleys between pebbles creating an oxygen-rich crib environment while surface fibers with nano-technology prevent liquids from seeping into the mattress for easy-wipe clean up." Nano what what?)
I happen to be one to cave for excessive features and bells and whistles... but this? Yeah, I loosened the baby budget belt a bit and went for an all-organic-fiber crib mattress (allergies are genetic!), but seriously who markets a mattress for $550? It's a mattress. And all that funky design (I'll give credit where it's due) will be covered up by the crib sheet!

P.S. If you're still feeling the love - buy the pebble wrap and cover your own baby mattress. : )
Ladies, Tom Ford is doing lips. This month under his Private Blend label, the design mogul known for his stupendous turnaround of the Gucci Group's assets and of course for his own design label, has unveiled his signature lipstick line. And while not many girls are likely to pay-up for a simple tube of lipstick, Ford fans (who understand that this man - delivers!) are going wild. A palette of 12 "perfect" lip colors, scented with chamomile, packed with the purest of pigment, and utterly creamy - thanks to loads of Brazilian murumuru butter. His ivory, gold-rimmed case creation is classic and heavyweight; a tribute to our grandmothers - the way they'd open an ornate case, spin out the bullet, and paint their pout was so, i don't know, glamourous. So not lip-gloss. As mothers, we all know how tough it can be to consistently look put-together on the go - but a good lipstick is all a girl needs. One coat and we're dressed. Thanks for the help Tom.
Private Blend Lip Color, $45.00

I wanted to share these wonderful images from the fantastic furniture designers at Laurette of France. Thought it would inspire the creative ability of space change through color... The space in these photos is exactly the same, yet the rooms are almost magically diverse. Oh, the joys of good interior decor!
(These photos initially made me look because the charcoal bed goes shockingly well with our Sparrow crib. Hmmm...)

Beginning this month, the folks over at Bugaboo are bringing forth a new special edition Bugaboo Black. I think it's super posh - from the playground to the party (the cocktail party, that is).

Bugaboo Black (special edition)
I thought the black titanium was super hot ever since they featured the Marc Jacobs Bugaboo collaboration last year. Nice of them to bring the ebony option to the masses (relatively...).
