There was no way I could make it through the market and leave these fresh-from-the-grove mandarins behind. They were too beautiful with the contrasting bright orange and deep green leaves... Not that they'll last long; beneath all the beauty of these little fruit gems is the most flavorful and succulent goodness - they put Cuties to shame!

Last year I leaked a preview of an Alice in Wonderland-themed Purim party flyer designed by my brother Yossi (over at Yossi Graphic Design) for his Purim Stock collection. I don't know who said Jewish advertising has to be cheesy (but it is more often than not!) - there's something so refreshing about modern, well-thought-out, well-designed Jewish graphics! This year, I'll grace you once more with a peek at my favorites - but you've got to head over to the site to check out the rest of the fabulous line of Purim Stock!! Take a bit of a break from the mainstream and up the fun-factor by doing something novel - host a Purim shin-dig like it's 1982, or for a more glamorous effect; a Purim speakeasy!

New York City's Fashion Week (Fall 2011) is coming to a close tomorrow, and while I have to admit I was rather disappointed - nothing on that runway really stole my heart, there was one trend that showed up again and again and happens to be one of my most favorite (and most practical) in the winter-wear category: chunky knits with a grunge-y vibe...
(Here are a few from: Rebecca Taylor, Tory Burch, and Tracy Reese)

Plus, I'm loving the hot-pink "homeless hat" on the Tibi runway! Takes the grunge concept to a whole new level!

Aside from that I loved all the (it-color of the year) gorgeous shades of grey at DKNY:

After being inspired from all the incredible music on the Awards show last night, I decided to spice up the morning and give my husband a little love for his morning commute: I made him a mix-tape (well, technically it was a CD, but I can't bring myself to call it a "mix-cd" - it's just wrong). I downloaded this super-rad CD sleeve by Dandee Designs, and burned it with a few of our favorite love songs. We had a wonderful little morning - nothing more fun than dessert at breakfast (and Freida enjoyed scribbling up those little hearts so early in the morning)! :)
