I'm sure you've all heard about the launch of a new line from ConfettiSystem for Urban Outfitters called PartyParty for this holiday season. The decor includes confetti, ornaments, garlands, pinatas and more - all in super sparkly colorful perfection! The collection is no doubt flying off those shelves at mach speed - just be on the lookout if you want to score yourself some truly beautiful and unique party favors/decorations...after January 1st these items are bound to go for pennies. Wanted to give you a simple heads up!
Mom - California does indeed have seasons! It seems each year I forget that the leaves do actually fall from the seemingly ever budding trees, the weather does steep dangerously low, and our heaters (gathering dust!) do need to be turned on.
With the change of weather came the realization that I am in desperate need of some warm baby gear... found these beautifully made baby booties by KINA. Made of 100% New Zealand Lambs wool and suede, with an elasticated ankle band for a snug fit - that can't be pulled off by curious little baby hands! Just in case you were like me, and looking for something a bit more novel than Robeez this winter...
Dwell Studio® for Target® Crib Bedding is now on clearance in most Target stores (depending on how much of these collections they have left in stock). The clearance prices are not listed on the website - but it is definitely worth checking it out. Was doing a regular Target run though, and walked out with some adorably modern printed crib sheets by Dwell for $7.68 each!!!
I hope by now it's rather old news for all of you that the beloved Dwell Studio® has a line out for Target. This line has been making minimalist modern design ridiculously affordable- bringing superstar baby style home to you!

Found this wonderful bookshelf while browsing the www- add a bit of whit and whimsy to a nursery or playroom.
Here's to my all time favorite latke recipe. My grandmothers Chanuka heirloom - punched up with some alcoholic properties...
The perfect Chanuka-party-potato-pancake! Enjoy!!!
Ingredients:
- 2 Onions
- 10 Potatoes
- 3 Eggs
- 1⁄2 cup Matzo Meal
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons Salt
- 1⁄8 cup Olive Oil (plus plenty for frying!)
- crushed black pepper
- 2 tablespoons Vodka
- sour cream (optional)
- applesauce (optional)
Peel and quarter the potatoes and onions. Process in food processor, in shifts, until pureed. Pour potato/onion puree into a colander in the sink, in order to rid of excess potato liquid. Pour into a large bowl and add the rest of the ingredients, mixing well with a spoon.
Heat up plenty of oil (the latkes should be lightly floating in it - but not deep frying!) Fry each side on medium/high until golden brown. Serve immediately with a dollop of cold sour cream topped with cold applesauce for the best effect!!
(Can be re-heated later, single layered in the oven on °200)
