We were planning on going to see Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland this Saturday night with our friends, we're just having a hard time deciding if it's worth waiting on line for an hour in order to secure a decent seat...? Haven't seen a movie on opening weekend since Batman the Dark Knight, and although we bought tickets online way in advance, we still had to wait in a line around the block for over an hour (me and my 9 month pregnant belly didn't love that)! But this is Tim Burton - I'm not so sure I can hold off! : )
Wanted to share these incredible film prints of the original Alice in Wonderland. Created and filmed in 1903 (!!), the one and only surviving print had been recently restored by the British Film Industry's National Archive. This film is over 100 years old!!!! Enjoy (I sure did)!

Also, check out this flyer/movie poster that my (graphic designer) brother Yossi produced for Purim at Columbia University. What a charmingly fabulous theme this makes!! Keep in mind for next year...

Alright, if I am going to get into cleaning at all; I can't start without sharing these very important basics. So many people think cleaning means scouring with chemicals until the house reeks of disinfectants! The truth is, cleaning can and should be done with regular household basics (baking soda, lemon juice, vinegar), and cleaned in a way that is healthy for your family (vs. completely hazardous and detrimental)! These tips are especially important to keep in mind when hiring cleaning help, because most people really have no clue what their cleaning-women are using, and honestly don't really care as long as the results are nice and clean. Read up on some cheap, simple, healthy tips that will yield you sparkling cleanliness throughout your home without being harmful. Martha's Cleaning 101 - changed the way I clean!
Well, with Purim behind us, and Pesach rapidly approaching - there's only one thing on everyones "to do" list right now: Clean. I'm not even going to be here for Pesach - that should completely nix my tidying obligation! But no, somehow I just can't imagine going into spring without the next few weeks being a mad mass of reorganizing, refurbishing, and deep, deep cleansing (aside from the fact that I will be giving someone my apartment for the holiday, so I do technically need to pesach clean most of it anyway). So to all you Jewish mothers out there, scrubbing the grout from your kitchen tiles --- happy spring-time!! : )
I'm totally loving this set of stuffed felted alphabet! What an adorable way to encourage you're new reader to form some words of their own, it's actually enticing me! From MiChiMa on Etsy.

It's no secret that I have a strange relationship with the phone... it's kinda long distance, and rather non-existent. So you'll likely understand why this comic from the Oatmeal made me smile.
Here's 10 reason to avoid talking on the phone. Enjoy!! : )
